Silver Sisters!

Will you be there?  We hope so!

Originated by Diana Jewell, author of Going Gray Looking Great,  the Silver Sisters conference will kick off on Friday, October 25th!

It’s a tradition!

It all started in Las Vegas in 2010.   “We had 15 women, and we were determined to “strut our stuff.” Just to show the world that we were proud to be silver, proud to be sexy, and proud to be our true silver selves,”  according to Diana Jewell, “The following year, we returned again to Las Vegas, and our numbers were growing. In 2012, we did the ultimate Silver Sisters Strut (as it came to be known) in Times Square, NYC. And this year, we’re coming to Chicago, where we hope to see many Silver Sisters, and soon-to-be Silver Sisters”

Come one, come all!

It doesn’t matter if you have just the beginning of a skunk stripe, a full head of gorgeous silver hair, or are simply thinking about making the switch to silver.  You will have a fantastic time!  This year’s event gets started with a private cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres at Cité, one of Chicago’s most elegant and glamorous restaurants.  Some the events during the weekend will include:

– Keynote address by Candace Jordan, noted Chicago Tribune society columnist, and mega-watt personality.

– Hair tips and technique session with George Bruno, known as the “Sultan of Silver”

– Makeup artistry by Marcus Geeter

– Sensational fashion show by Arden Reece, famed for her Color & Hue palettes.  Neiman Marcus will provide all the clothes as Arden takes you through daylooks and evening looks.

The event will end at Millennium Park for the famed Jhirmack Silver Sisters Strut under the gorgeous, fabulous Silver Bean, also known as Cloud Gate.

And being there just got easier!

The conference sponsor, Jhirmack, has just announced a great contest! Pin to Win! You can win FREE tickets to the Silver Sisters Event in Chicago, Hotel Accommodations for the event, and a $250 Neiman Marcus gift card.

I've been going gray since I was 12. Have been coloring my hair since then. Then I turned 48 and decided that's enough! I've been gray for 1.5 years and it feels great! My 12 year son (also getting some sliver hairs) says he likes my color of my hair – WOW! Go for it

That's how I feel. "Enough"! It would be nice for people to be supportive, but if not, I don't care, it's time to be free of chemicals, dry scalp and hair. Shiny silver is just so exquisite!
