I really haven’t colored my hair since I began going gray – in my early 30s! At that time I had a woman friend who was about 5 years older than me and she was forever getting her hair colored, or touched up in between colorings. It just seemed to be a waste of time AND money. Not to mention how awful the roots looked if she didn’t get to the hairdresser in time…
My husband is quite a bit older than I am, so another reason for me not wanting to color my hair as it grayed is that I didn’t want to appear even YOUNGER than I was. My hair has grayed quite nicely – has an even tone – and no one in my family has ever wanted my hair to look any other way!

I’m very proud to claim this beautiful person as my mother-in-law! She’s as gorgous inside as she is on the outside!
Marian – keep looking as good as you do – YOU are beautiful!
love ya!

I think you are a beautiful woman no matter what color your hair is. You are young on the inside and that is all that matters! Your friendship over the years has meant a lot to me! Thank you
Hugs,

Marian,
What a beautiful picture of you! You truly are a beautiful person inside and out. I am so glad we are friends, and that we have met in person–not once, but twice!
Your friend,
Carol
I am very proud of you and love you just as you are – you are the best mom EVER! My hair, as you know, just barely has some gray, and eventually I too will just go gray gracefully. For now I’m having fun experimenting with cuts and colors though.
Love you mom,
Francesca
You didn’t go grey until your 30′s?? What a luxury! By 24 I was already dabbling in Grecian Formula. I’m au naturale now, though, and looking “distinguished.”
I love you a ton, Marian; you too, Merle.
Cheers,
Mike
Having known your Mom, Francesca, in the years before the gray hairs started, I can attest to the fact she was a real beauty then too, both inside and out.
What a pleasant surprise running across this photo. Even though it’s been 45 years since graduation day at DeSales I recognized you immediately, Marian. The years have been kind to you. May the future years continue to do the same.

WOW! Good thing you kept your wits enough to fight off the bugger. Glad you’re ok. The worse thing to happen to me on that street was when I encountered a pack of dogs late one night. I kept a safe distance behind them until I got home. Take care.
