I decided to go gray about 10 years ago when I had baby #5. I was still coloring until he was about 3 months old and decided I was tired of dealing with the constant upkeep of coloring, plus my color didn’t last,as long as it used to, and would turn a funky reddish brown as time wore on. I sheared off all my hair into a buzz cut and suffered while I grew it out.
I’m 51 now, and get lots of compliments on my hair color. Some people ask if I get it colored to look this way!! Right now it’s in a bob…sometimes I have it “razored” and flip it up with a flat iron. I might try growing it out longer…I’m really enjoying the silver and the fact that I don’t have to worry about hair color anymore.
