I grew my hair out a little over a year ago after dying for 20 years. I’ll never do it again.
I teach 5th grade and live in the Memphis area. I have a fraternal twin that will die a redhead and I’m “true platinum”.
I colored my hair for over 20 years. The only word that describes not coloring your hair is FREEDOM. Freedom from the loss of time, the expense, the smell, and freedom from my ugly orange housecoat that I used to wear when I would color my hair. Complete strangers now complement my hair. I seem to garner way more attention than I ever did as a brunette. Women come up and ask questions: Is that your real hair color? How did you grow it out? How long did it take? How do you keep it so white? I occasionally get the “I’m so proud you don’t feel the need to hide your gray”. Men however are different. My husband loves my hair, but other men either smile and flirt or treat me like their grandma. I don’t care one way or the other. I’m happily married and not looking.

Linda,
You look great!
Going Gray
Your hair suits you beautifully. You made the right decision.
Actually I think that you’re hair is gorgeous on you. Its a beautiful silver. I can’t imagine any guy not thinking you’re quite lovely. Its neither here no there though. Just preconceived ideas of beauty which are mainly manufactured by the media. Not much of it relates to real life, as in, what people REALLY think. Most people would think you look great.
