According to a recent article in Time magazine, not a single female U.S. Senator who range in the ages of 46-74 has a single gray hair. Of the 70 female members of the House, only seven have gray hair.
So there was the beautiful Kathleen Sebelius, the governor of Kansas, boldly representing her gorgeous gray hair as she eloquently delivered the Democratic response to the State of the Union address Monday night. Polished, poised and powerful, Governor Sebelius made a gray haired woman proud. Governor Sebelius is also featured in the February 2008 issue of Vogue magazine.

Sebelius was a breath of fresh, and nontoxic air, after watching Nancy Pelosi behind Bush for an hour. Note that this is not a political comment but one of aesthetics and good role-modeling.

I knew somebody who is the spitting image of Sebelius & who was very kind & sweet to me from the moment she met me. I only talked to her once but I liked her a lot, she treated me like I was a relative or close friend even though she’d just met me. Sebelius reminds me so much of her. She seems like a very kind & sweet lady herself.
